Question

Answer

How do I upload all the tones, games, etc I get from here to my mobile phone?

Depending upon the compatability of your phone, you can upload stuff to your phone using one or more of the following methods:
1> Wireless Communication Devices (Infrared or Bluetooth)
2> Data Cable
3> WAP
4> Composer Of Your Phone (Only applicable for mono-ringtones)

How do I use wireless devices?

First you should make sure that your mobile supports infrared and/or bluetooth. You can find that out through the manual or you would have probably come upon such an option on your phone.
Once that is selected, you got to buy the relevent USB device.
Do note that if your cellphone supports both infrared and bluetooth, then it is recommended that you buy bluetooth device, infrared devices need your cellphone to be within one inch range and the data transfer rate is very slow as compared to bluetooth.

Once you have the device, you can either use the software you got with your mobile phone or from among the host of free softwares available for the same. Check out the downloads section.

Where do I buy infrared/bluetooth devices from?

If you are located in or around India, I would suggest you buy it from Baazee since you get best of the deals from there. <a href=http://affiliate.baazee.com/cgi-bin/affiliate//clickme.cgi?exec=hardik&site=site12 target=_blanl>Visit Baazee's Mobile Accessories Page Here .

If you are outside of India, I would suggest ebay.

What about Data-Cable?

Data-cable, as the name suggests is a cable connecting your phone and PC, generally through your USB port. Again the softwares are easily available, you should just be sure that your cellphone does support it.
For people in Indian Subcontinent, I would suggest baazee. <a href=http://affiliate.baazee.com/cgi-bin/affiliate//clickme.cgi?exec=hardik&site=site12 target=_blanl>Visit Baazee's Mobile Accessories Page By Clicking Here .

To people outside of India, I suggest you give ebay a shot.

I have a WAP-enabled phone, can I use it?

I am working on the WAP version of this site and it should be up in some time.
Till then you can use some softwares which host the files on your own pc and enable you to download them from there. More info on that soon.

I have 'Composer' in my Nokia phone, how do I use it?

You can only use this for monoringtones. The most monotones on this site are on keypress format itself, which is pretty much self-explainatory.
For monotones, in RTTTL formats, you need to use certain softwares, check out the Downloads section for that.

i am having a card reader/writer how to transfer the games and thmes from pc to mobile?

You have to download apps and games from the downloads section or from the forums here on FreeRingtonesIndia.com Then using the software provided by the card reader upload these to your Memory Card (MMC).
Some phone require that ringtones and games be kept in the phone memory, in that case you have to use the file manager application of your phone and tranfer the uploaded files from the MMC to phone memory.
In case of any problems please post in the forums so that we can help you.
